Bangkok, Thailand – Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (BITEC), Thailand’s first purpose-built exhibition and convention centre with top quality, multi-purpose and multi-functionality state-of-the-art features recognized by international standard, sets out for global recognition as the leading Trade and Exhibition Centre. For the second half of 2018, BITEC has plans to roll out ASEAN and International events, in line with the Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau’s (TCEB) vision to position Thailand as the premiere MICE destination in the region. The target is 30.1 million MICE visitors in 2018, with an estimated economic value of 174 billion baht, with 1.19 million people from foreign markets, generating revenue of 112 billion baht, and 29 million people from domestic markets, accounting for 62 billion baht in revenue.
In the first half of the year, BITEC and its new zone, Bhiraj Convention Centre has attracted many international events to Bangkok such as: Thailand’s first-ever Taiwan Expo 2018, ProPak Asia 2018 – Asia’s Number One international trade event for food, drink and pharmaceutical processing and packaging technologies and ASEANbeauty 2018 –Southeast Asia’s premier international beauty trade show. As well as these, there are upcoming tradeshows and international events which will be hosted at BITEC in the upcoming months, such as: World Sugar Expo & Conference 2018 (5th Edition), COSMEX 2018 – ASEAN’s Only Exhibition on Manufacturing Technologies, Machinery, Packaging & ODM/OEM Services for Cosmetics, Personal Care & Dietary Supplement Products that will be held alongside in-cosmetics Asia 2018, METALEX 2018 – ASEAN’s largest international machine tool and metalworking technology trade exhibition and conference.

Currently, BITEC has over 70,000 square metres of event space, separated into different zones and functions for utilization by both Thai and international exhibitors. In addition, BITEC has also been accredited with the certificate of Thailand MICE Venue Standard (TMVS) 2018 for outstanding categories: Exhibition venue and Meeting Room from the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB).
Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Center (BITEC) is located at 88 Bangna-Trad Road, Bangna, Bangkok. BITEC offers an all-round event space, facilities and services that are adaptable to both concerts and lifestyle events. The location allows easy access for both the organizers and participants. It’s only 14 km from Suvarnabhumi International Airport and is easily accessible by car, minivan and coach via three well sign-posted entrances: Entrance 1 and 2 can be accessed from Bangna-Trad Road and Entrance 3 from Sukhumvit Road, just off the expressway. In addition, there is easy BTS access via Bangna Station (Exit 1), with an easy skywalk access that links to BITEC.
