(Bangkok, October 2018) – From now to 15th December, our Chef de Cuisine Sylvain Royer at Scarlett Wine Bar & Restaurant unearths buried treasure to showcase Burgundy truffles.
Available for a short season only, Burgundy truffles also known as Autumn truffles, are a wonderful black truffle with a tan-coloured veined interior. They are renowned throughout Europe for their light aroma and delicate flavour with notes of hazelnuts.
Chefs at Scarlett have created a special menu to bring out the best in this highly prized ingredient. Delectable dishes will include highlights of egg cocotte with truffle, asparagus and gravlax salmon, autumnal porcini cappuccino with grated truffle, and decadent baked truffle camembert with garlic and parsley croutons. Meat lovers can also get succulent grilled beef tenderloin, mashed potatoes and Périgourdine sauce and more. The meal wraps up with the vanilla and white truffle oil macaroons with dark chocolate cream, or chocolate and black truffle mousse soufflé with homemade olive oil ice cream.
